This course is also intended to provide practicing Beauty Therapists who wish to obtain a formal qualification with the opportunity to do so.

The minimum age requirement is 16 years.
The individuals who apply for this course need to have basic skills in reading and writing, possess basic calculating competences and be able to use the computer for research purposes.
Good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, including listening skills, will be ideal as it will enhance working with clients.
Time-keeping skills and a well groomed appearance are all desirable qualities for this type of learning program.

The course is held in a classroom environment Sessions are a mix of theory and practical sessions. Theory sessions develop knowledge base and practical sessions on mannequins and real clients will allow the students to boost their technical skills
Practical assessments are done through practical observation
Theoretical assessments are done though assignments and or portfolios
Practical Observation:
Assessments are carried out when the tutor observes the learner carrying out the practical work to the tutor's satisfaction.Tutor must be convinced that the learner can perform the tasks assigned to them without help and within the time frame specified.
Written assignments and / or portfolios
Each unit of learning is composed of a number of learning outcomes which are judged by means of written assignments or portfolios.
These can include tables, charts and reports that are the result of the students referenced research.
Differently able students
Those students that are confirmed by the relevant authority - may be allowed to produce evidence of their knowledge and an understanding of the subjects by alternative means. E.g. interpreter or facilitator.
